Building Website Traffic, Proven Low and No-Cost Web Traffic Generating Tips

April 16th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Online Business, Promotion and Marketing

There are 3 different phases to get website traffic. The first steps are to social bookmark and submit your blog RSS feed to directories. The second step is to have articles written and post them on blogging networks and article directories. Phase 3 consists of hand picking higher ranking websites and see if you can obtain a link back to your website.

Here are some things I learned from these Podcast Interviews. Websites with high PR ranking you’ll have to pay for, but the link is well worth the money that you’ll be paying out. You might luck out and get a link for free; the important point is to try.

Always keep in your plan to link to your website from other places on the internet. If you stop, you’ll loose your high ranking you worked so hard for. Take your keyword list out and focus on linking to the high traffic keywords. I now write articles and submit them to the article directories. As a part of my long term plan I keep up with writing articles every week.

For the long tailed keywords that have a much lower competition, you should be able to get away with just using social bookmarking along with one or two article submissions. This process will help you from doing any of the linking manually.

Stick to your plan and do the work yourself before outsourcing. Problems always come up and when they do you’ll have a good understanding of how to fix them. Some people enjoy doing the SEO marketing for their website.

Now that you have a good feel of how things work and what you’ll expect from someone else you can outsource it. I have always found it difficult to find someone to do my link building for me because I want it done a certain way. When you build links, you only have one chance to get it right. If you hire someone and they don’t do it the way you want it done, then all that work is wasted. When I’m ready to hire someone I’ll take baby steps and give them just a little bit of work at a time to see if the investment will be any good.

Much of the lower stuff can be outsourced, but like I said when I get website traffic I find that I have to do much of the work myself. That’s why I like using social bookmarking or having articles written and submitting it to these various automated services. The outcome is very straightforward and I know what to expect when I go after website traffic.
